Chennai Express swiftly joined the high ranks of Koimoi’s Top 10 Films of the year in a matter of 3 and half days only at the Domestic Box Office. The film that released on 9th August on the eve of Eid has already made a whooping income of 100.35 crores at the domestic box office after accumulating its Sunday collections. The film in a matter of 3 and half days alone has already claimed the 4th spot for itself on the list.

With Chennai Express‘ entry into the club, Sajid Khan directorial Himmatwala was evicted from the list. With a lifetime run of 45 crores, the film’s box office fiasco has been hard to erase ever since. Chennai Expresswith its phenomenal income record has crossed Aashiqui 2 that is most successful venture in Bollywood this year. With a profit percent of 612% it is commendable that the SRK starrer took merely 3 and half days to supersede the lifetime run of the film!
